Godbertin Wema – Electronics Recycling Specialist

Godbertin is a real Renewable Recyclers success story. Coming from war torn Tanzania after spending most of his life in a refugee camp in a bordering country, Godbertin was sent to seek asylum in Australia.

Godbertin says "I asked God how on earth will I find a job when I can't understand English?"

Everything in Australia was so very different for him, and not being able to speak the new language meant this naturally very friendly young man found it difficult to communicate with the people around him.

Dean Sheridan - Computer Technician

Dean had been out of work for over two years. Previously he had worked as a Fitter & Machinist as well as a retail store-man but found it difficult to find work so he registered with Salvation Army Employment Plus.

Having had a keen interest in computers for some years, Dean had a wealth of self-taught experience taking computers apart, figuring out how they worked, how to change components and diagnosing and solving problems. Even though his "work" experience was in a completely different field, because he was asked to note down his hobbies as well, his job search widened to include electronics.
